ABOUT ME

Aji Oliyide

I’m a techie, speaker, writer, and podcaster based in Northern California. One of my passions is travel, which started soon after graduating from undergrad and continues to today. Some pivotal global experiences include my time in Argentina during business school and excursion to Nepal in 2011 for a charity trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. After flying into Lukla Airport (known to be the world’s most dangerous airport) and spending a few days acclimatizing to the environment, I spent a week and a half navigating the paths and trails to Everest’s base camp. These opportunities for out-of-the-ordinary adventures have significantly shaped how I view myself and the world around me.

An active volunteer and community member, I am a part of the board of directors for Global Glimpse, a non-profit organization dedicated to overseas immersions for U.S based high school students.

My writing is featured in Swaay Magazine and on the blog, Pivot Points, a virtual publication founded and led by me, where I share insights on decisions and events that shape our direction and the way we interact with the world. A sampling of my original content can be found, here.

My podcast show, Eat.Plank.Live features interviews with powerful health experts, culinary celebrities, and business executives who explore the intersection of fitness and professional success. Some notable guests include Fortune 500 Board Member Shellye Archambeau and James Beard award winner Andrew Zimmern.
